Crucial training for those  transporting wheelchair users in Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles (WAVs). Particularly useful to those working within the taxi or community transport sectors or delivering SEND transport.

Training covers legislation & disability awareness, identification of  wheelchairs & transportation suitability. Safe manual handling & wheelchair loading to/from a WAV.
Wheelchair Tiedown and Occupant Restraint Systems (WTORS ) practical training & assessment

NOTE: This training is mandatory for SEND transport providers in many Local Authority areas and fulfils many  compliance needs.

Particularly useful to those working within the social care, health care or voluntary sectors plus those in tourism who transfer / assist / push wheelchair users who embark, disembark transport or to locate from area to area indoors or outdoors.

Training includes passenger safety, manual handling awareness, journey safety, emergency plans, minibus evacuation, health & safety and general responsibilities of a passenger assistant

Essential training for those working with and assisting those with disabilities. Suitable for all sectors and for those who need to raise awareness of disabilities in their workplace.

A consideration for anyone working in the care sector or in a security role is de-escalation training.

Training includes: understanding conflict management, practical self-defence techniques, steps to take when encountering an aggressive or violent patient/client, incident reporting and legislation surrounding use of de-escalation techniques
